It's the human kind!

Ultrasound appointment this week went smoothly, thank heavens (the rest of the day was insane, post on that to follow, wherein you'll discover afresh what a moron I am).

But anyway: BOY.

Just figured I'd get that out there first. Am more excited the more I think about it, although I'd better go do something now to protect the underside of my couch.

All his little limbs were there, including shorter-than-average-legs (that would be my genetic contribution, you are very welcome there, Stubbs) that kicked and swam the whole time in a most adorable way and teeny tiny feet that made me squeal every time I saw them. In fact, as soon as I can get my scanner to agree to accept the ultrasound pics (right now it and the computer appear to be having some sort of lover's spat and are currently in the "not speaking to each other, but in this obvious and really emotionally loaded way") you'll see a picture of the feet and then you too can squeak "feeeeeeet!!!!" like a crazy mouse-person.

Also he has a larger-than-average-head. Like, a 97th percentile head. I don't know who is to blame genetically for this, but as soon as they step forward they'll get what's coming to them. The midwife says not to worry, that it's still early and things will even out.

I fervently hope so.
